I've seen a number of references/comments about Rotel products in various thread, but I couldn't find one dedicated to just owners. I thought I'd see if there is any interest in an 'Owner's Only' thread. This would be a place for support, comments and suggestions from current owners of Rotel products. Granted, there is always, but that may not satisfy everyone. Anyway, just for the record, my first purchase was an RB1070 amp that I was using with a Denon 2805 as a pre/pro. I found that it did wonders driving a set of Klipsch RF5s. Because of that improvement, I began thinking of creating a stereo only setup just for music. I added an RC1070 preamp and was even more surprised at the difference. There is now a much better defined soundstage. As you can guess, the next step is adding the RCD-1072 CD player. My local dealer doesn't stock them, so I have one on order, which should be coming in next week. Well you can sign me up on the Rotel list, I just picked up my very first amp, used. I got a great deal on a RMB 1095. 200 x 5 Looking forward to powering it up, as I am still poking around with setting up my new Pioneer VSX-81TXV that I'll be using for a Temp Pre/Pro. And it seems to work pretty well so far. I'll be hooking it up to my 10 yr old Polk speaks until my new ones get here. I Haven't gotten my new Paradigm Studio series speaks yet. This thing is a beast. I'll report back when I get it all hooked up. Thank you for setting up this thread! Any potential news of a new version of the rsx-1067 coming soon that will be able to handle the new audio formats? (If I understand correctly hdmi 1.1 is all that's needed or analog inputs Horoscope free download kundli software. ????, so hdmi 1.3 isn't really that big of a deal????) Thanks! With regard to the rsx-1057 receiver, has anyone hooked up a hd-dvd/blu ray player to this unit and be able to listen to the new audio formats via the hdmi or audio analog inputs?? The RSX-1057 doesn't support audio over HDMI - the HDMI on this model only functions as a video switch with no analog video transcoding. It's essentially an RSX-1056 with an HDMI switch board slapped into it. Now technically you CAN enjoy TrueHD and dts-HD over the 7.1-ch. More Rotel Rsp 1066 Preamp Reviews videos.
